Naxos was the wild card of the islands. Little had be seen
or heard of this particular floating piece of land, but stand up Naxos and take
a bow. This was Greece at its best. Sparkling beaches, emerald water, the
friendliest of folks and most importantly, the cheapest and most delicious food
around. Again Mum had outdid herself and provided us with fully equipped
apartments 200m from the sand. It was a place where we really didn’t do much.
The sky was grey one day and shimmering with heat the next, so majority of the
time was spent wandering the old castle, laying on the beach, swimming and of
course, drinking. Enjoyable some would say.
